See www.queensparade.org.uk for more details

I think we can declare this blog officially closed now! Thank you again Pete C for introducing me to blogging - I've only taken a few small steps so far, but at least they are in the right direction. A final thought - blogging sounds - and is - a lot better than emailing information, questions, requests etc around groups of people but there's still only a very small percentage of people in our community ready to give it a try. I received many more emails than I did comments and posts ... perhaps next time will be different?

Troyka to play at the Christmas Market!

After a London gig fell through, Barney (QP resident) has confirmed his 3-piece Balkan folk band 'Troyka' will be playing at the Community Christmas Market on Saturday afternoon on 5 December. London's loss - our gain! This makes a great addition to the musical entertainment planned for the day which also includes Daniel Barnes (another QP musician!) and his Bristol University Wind Band.

Where will the market be?

We have permission from Bristol City Council to close the street between numbers 3-5 Brandon Steep and numbers 1-14 on Queens Parade (the wider part!). The market stalls & music performance area will be on the Brandon Hill side of the road adjacent to the wall.

Would you like a market stall?

Watch out for the orange invitations, coming through your letterbox today!

Lunchtime or Evening?

What's the best time for our Community Christmas market on Sat 5 Dec? 12 noon-4pm to entice people out for lunch and an afternoon event, or 4-7pm for a teatime treat?

My first ever posting on a blog!

Thank you for setting this up Pete C. We'll only discover how useful having a Christmas Market 'message board' is if we give it a try, don't you think? I am going up a steep learning curve here and others might too - but let's see how it goes!
